Playing at home for the final time this 2023/24 pennant season, Thorpdale hosted Morwell Club in division two.
Thorpdale registered a 19-shot loss to a superior team who were blown away by the fantastic green.
Division two: Thorpdale lost to Morwell Club 69/88
Only one rink gained superiority with skip and club president David "Ferg" Ferguson leading his team to a convincing 23/11 win. Meanwhile, skip Danny "Vanda" Van Zuylen's team struggled on the day and had a 14-shot loss, with an 11/25 loss.
Skip Ben Powell's team came up against a mighty opposing team and fought back to score 17/29, a loss of 12 shots.
Skip Ron "Bonnie" Mackie's team were the nearest to the winner's podium by only notching up a five-shot loss with an 18/23 end result.
Division six: Thorpdale/Yarragon lost to Boolarra (2) 30/44
The locals travelled to Boolarra, a lovely small club with a beautiful outlook.
On a lovely calm day, Yarragon's skip Kel Jarvis led his team to a good start. But slowly and steadily, the Boolarra team fought back to inflict an eight-shot loss to Yarragon, 14/22.
Thorpdale's skip Darron "Pol" Fraser's team weren't ahead at any time, but they fought tooth and nail, shot by shot and some of the skip's shots were nothing short of spectacular. The Thorpdale team's loss was six shots, 16/22, giving the friendly Boolarra team an overall win.
