A 29-year-old Moe man was tasered whilst allegedly fighting with police during an arrest at Longwarry on Thursday afternoon.
Drouin officers were called to a collision on the Princes Fwy at Longwarry at about 3.45pm when a driver was allegedly refusing to share his details with the other motorist.
Arriving at the scene, police allege the man provided false details and appeared to be driving a stolen vehicle. Officers also observed a longarm firearm through the rear window.
Police said the driver attempted to run from police but was caught. In the resulting fight, police activated a taser.
Police allege the man was in possession of a .223 rifle, loaded magazine and drugs including GHB and heroin.
A 29-year-old Moe man was charged with assaulting police, drug offences, firearm offences and thefts.
He was remanded in custody and appeared in Latrobe Valley Magistrates' Court on Friday. Bail was refused.
