Join cemetery trust

People interested in making an important contribution to the Drouin West cemetery trust have another week to apply to join the trust.
Expressions of interest are now open for community members to put themselves forward to become a trust member.
The honorary appointments are for a period of five years.
People of diverse backgrounds are encouraged to apply and can get more details from trust secretary Jill Bayly on 0427929947.
The trust is responsible for the management of the cemetery, preservation of local history and planning for its future operation.
Many of the marked graves at Drouin West date back to the 19th century, the oldest burial occurring in 1878 - 145 years ago.
Free training for the roles are on the trust is provided by the department of health.
Current members are eligible to re-apply.
