Garfield's big freeze

This Sunday locals will flock to The Garfield Hotel to raise funds for motor neurone disease (MND).
Sixteen people will take the plunge into icy cold water as part of Garfield's contribution to Australia's ninth DIY Big Freeze, which raises funds for "FightMND" - the largest national funder of MND research.
Each 'slider' has been raising funds and will come to the event dressed as a character.
Among those participating are local principal Danny Forster, who will be dressing as Danny Zuko from "Grease", racehorse trainer and presenter Charlotte Littlefield, who will be dressed as a jockey, co-owner of Soul Sisters Cafe Mel Browney, who will be dressed as Katy Perry, and retired school teacher Judy Bishop, who will be dressed as a Garfield Star.
This year The Garfield Hotel is aiming to raise $15,000.
Donations can be made at the hotel by placing money in jars labelled with the slider's names - the slider with the most money will choose the order they slide in - and a number of Garfield stores have raffle books.
On Sunday the bar and kitchen will be open all day and there will be live music, a raffle draw, and kids activities.
