Ellinbank Primary School has seized the moo-ment and milked a recent fundraiser for all it was worth after raising $5000 with its 'Cow Carnival' last weekend.
The highlight of the carnival was undoubtedly the 'Cow Pat Lotto', where attendees purchased tickets corresponding to squares on a marked grid on the school's oval.
There they waited just over an hour for the guest of honour, Missy the cow, to drop her first poo of the day, with the owner of the space she chose winning first prize.
The lotto was hardly the only thing on offer for guests, as families enjoyed activities ranging from gumboot throwing to a special story time to a cow treasure hunt to a farm-themed photo photo booth.
Students had the chance to get involved with their own special stories where they sold herbs, sweets and stickers among other things.
The funds will be spent on enhancing the school, providing a better learning experience for students.
School principal Catherine Clerks acknowledged the event's sponsors and guests for their generosity, saying it was greatly appreciated by staff and students.
She also noted how many attendees complimented the school, with some of them not even realising it had existed before the event.
The school now plans to make it an annual occurrence, as it seeks to continue giving students the best opportunities possible.
