Carols by candlelight events in Neerim South and Warragul attracted large crowds of families and friends in the lead up to Christmas.
Neerim and District Community Carols by Candlelight organisers reported a huge crowd and plenty of community spirit at its Friday night event at Neerim South Primary School.
Raising $1500 for the primary school was described as "the cherry on the top".
The popular Neerim Wiggles, musicians and fireworks were the highlights for the crowd.
At Civic Park in Warragul, a large crowd gathered on Christmas eve despite the threat of rain.
Kicked off with a kid's program to get plenty of youngsters up and dancing, the main carols program started just before 8pm and concluded before the wet weather arrived.
