Another round of sponsorships and grants by Drouin and District Financial Services has given 15 more local clubs and organisations a kick start to the new year.
The $38,650 in the latest distribution by the company, the local shareholder body of the Drouin and District Community Bendigo Bank, boosts the amount allocated since July to almost $79,000 and the total in grants, donations, community investments and shareholder dividends over the past four financial years to almost $1.3 million.
Staff and directors welcomed representatives of recipient groups to a handover function.
Those to receive funds were:
Drouin Rotary Club towards its monthly craft and produce market.
West Gippsland Community Radio, 3BBR FM.
Ghostlight Theatre Club to support staging musical "You're a good man Charlie Brown" in March.
Drouin Football Club for naming rights at the recreation reserve.
Warragul Camera Club for sponsorship of its 2024 photographic exhibition.
Warragul and District Gardening Club to support for symposium in March.
Drouin Senior Citizens towards cost of equipment.
West Gippsland Charity Golf Association, in a joint association with Neerim and Trafalgar community banks and Warragul Country Club, towards an annual fundraising golf day for West Gippsland Hospital and Warragul and District Specialist School.
Heritage Vehicle and Machinery Display to support an annual event now held at Lardner Park.
Warragul Bridge Club to provide funds to purchase equipment.
Gardivilia for its annual event promoting tourism and showcasing West Gippsland gardens.
Drouin Bowling Club for sponsorship of 2023-2024 season.
Baw Baw Live4Life, in partnership with Neerim and Trafalgar community banks, for suicide prevention and mental health education programs.
Longwarry Cricket Club for sponsorship 2023-2024.
Drouin Cricket Club for sponsorship 2023-2024.
