Trafalgar and District Probus Club celebrated 30 years of fun, friendship and fellowship at a celebration combined with its annual general meeting.
President Maggie Attwell presented life member and TDPC founder Peter Farmer with a badge honouring 30 years of commitment to the organisation.
Mr Farmer spoke about the beginnings of the club and was later acknowledged with three other life members, Olwyn Vitale, Margaret Bartlett and Les Bartlett for dedication and contributions to TDPB.
After a new committee was elected, president Maggie Attwell was presented a 30th Anniversary certificate before a celebration lunch.
The lunch was the perfect opportunity for members to reflect on the year just gone, a year full of trips, morning coffees, guest speakers and dine-outs.
After lunch, attendees listened to a reflection on Probus by member Olywn Vitale who joined Peter Farmer to cut the 30th anniversary celebration cake.
The club now fluctuates around 100 members, far more than back at the beginning. When TDPC was originally formed there were just 23 members.
