Police are investigating the theft of one vehicle and thefts from several others parked at Western Park early Sunday morning.
Police arrived at the scene at 5:15am and saw two vehicles leaving the reserve and driving away at a fast rate of speed along Tarwin St. One vehicle was a 2002 grey or bronze Commodore Caprice and the other was a utility.
The Caprice was later determined to have been stolen from the football ground.
Police said about eight vehicles were parked around the ground overnight after a function and seven were targets of theft.
Vehicle windows were smashed to gain access to items inside.
Among the items stolen from vehicles were a $1500 Prada handbag, airpods, sports bags and speakers.
The Warragul Football Club clubrooms also were broken into by offenders, as was another upstairs room.
