Residents told to report thefts

Police are urging locals to report thefts or attempted thefts.
"No matter how minor it is, if you've had a matter in your street, let us know," acting senior sergeant Martin Tullett said. "We can't act on what we we don't know about."
He said there was a rise in residents dealing with issues themselves or simply not reporting.
Police also reinforced the importance of locking vehicles and houses - including back doors - to help combat a growing trend in opportunistic crime.
