The service of Australian peacekeepers and peacemaking forces with United Nations operations around the world will be honoured at a service at Warragul RSL on Sunday.
Many military personnel, police and civilians from Baw Baw Shire were among 66,000 that served on more than 50 operations since 1947.
Sunday's service will be the second year that Warragul RSL has formally marked International Peacekeepers and Peacemakers Day that is officially next Monday.
RSL president Ben Vahland will lead the service starting at 5pm, to be followed by finger food, tea and coffee and opening of the club's bar.
All who served on the operations, their families and RSL members are invited to attend.
RSVP is required for catering purposes to admin@warragulrsl.com.au or to Mark Buttner at 0434 280 231.
