A black ute, believed to have been stolen from Drouin, was reportedly seen at rural properties in Tanjil South, Drouin and Warragul.
Police reported a black Mazda BT50 ute was stolen from Nickell Crt, Drouin between 9.30pm on Sunday, April 2 and 4.40am on Monday, April 3.
During this time, one vehicle in Nickell Crt and three vehicles in Wellwood Rd, were searched through.
Police said bank cards, cosmetics, a wallet, Nintendo Switch and cash were amongst the items stolen from these vehicles. The bank cards were later used at the Ampol service station in Sand Rd, Longwarry.
A barn and shed on a property at Wellwood Rd were also targeted. Cupboards and tool boxes were rummaged through as well as two vehicles parked inside the shed.
Fuel containers and keys were stolen.
A dark coloured ute was later seen on CCTV at a rural property in Moe-Rawson Rd, Tanjil South on Monday, April 3.
Police allege an offender broke into a side door at about 10am. Jewellery and a chainsaw were reported stolen.
Police also reported that a driver of a black ute made a hasty departure when approached at a rural property in Greenshields Rd, Drouin on Wednesday at 12.15pm.
Initially believing it was a friend, the resident approached the male, who was wearing a white hoodie, to ask him not to park in front of the garage.
He told police the driver ran back to the ute and quickly left.
A chain securing the front gate was later found cut.
The same day, on Warragul-Lardner Rd, a resident returned to a rural property at 12.40pm to find the front farm-style gates open and the hinges bent.
Upon investigating, a black ute came down the driveway. Police allege the resident was forced to jump out of the way as the ute pushed through the gate.
The driver was reported to be wearing a black balaclava.
Draws and cupboards had been disturbed in the house and a gun safe partly dragged out of the wall.
A hedge trimmer and cordless grinder were reported stolen.
