A McDonald's Warragul employee was allegedly punched in the face in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Police said the 31-year-old man was working in the fast-food restaurant when an altercation with a customer began at 2am.
The customer, a 26-year-old Warragul man, tried to purchase food while walking through the drive-thru section.
Staff refused to serve the man. Police said the man then asked another customer in a vehicle to purchase food for him.
The motorist agreed and the man collected his food from the driver at the end of the drive-thru line.
The 26-year-old allegedly approached the last drive-thru window to make a complaint and punched the employee through the window.
Police said the employee fell to the ground and hit his head on the floor.
The man was arrested at the scene.
