How much does a small plate of sandwiches cost?
Ratepayers contribute $148.50 for such a plate before monthly council meetings, Baw Baw Shire chief executive officer Mark Dupe revealed at the last council meeting.
Local resident Irene Broadbent continued her campaign to uncover lunch costs incurred by councillors at the April meeting.
Ms Broadbent declared at a previous meeting that Cr Annemarie McCabe had advised no food or drink would be served to councillors or staff before council meetings due to the new 1pm timeslot.
She was told "a small plate of cut sandwiches" had been provided before the February meeting.
Asking for the cost during community questions at the April meeting, Mr Dupe answered "the cost of the lunch provided to councillors was $148.50" before the February and March meetings.
Ms Broadbent asked a clarifying question on the size of the plate.
Mr Dupe said "the size of the plate doesn't matter, it's the number of sandwiches", noting it fed nine councillors.
"I think we need a new caterer," fired back Ms Broadbent.
She also requested the cost of hiring the West Gippsland Arts Centre for the International Women's Day event - $5736.94 - and which group collected the admittance fee - the arts centre.
