DJ equipment was reported stolen from a Drouin pub on Thursday morning.
Police are investigating if the burglary was related to criminal damage at a nearby factory just 45 minutes later.
Security footage showed a man attended The Royal Hotel on Main South Rd at about 1.15am.
It is alleged he used an angle grinder to cut locks off a shipping container near the bottleshop. Once inside, DJ booth control equipment was stolen valued at $5000.
The man may have been travelling on a motorised mountain bike.
Just 45 minutes later, Pure Harvest in Lardner Rd reported smashed windows. The repair bill is estimated at $3000.
Police said it appeared rocks and a brick were used to smash many windows of a Ceres Natural Foods building.
They said it was the fifth time the Pure Harvest factory had been targeted in the past 12 months.
