Aim to end online abuse

Online abuse and ending digital violence is the focus of this year's 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence international campaign.
The theme of this year's campaign is 'UNiTE to End Digital Violence against All Women and Girls', and shines a spotlight on one of the fastest-growing forms of abuse - digital and online violence.
The campaign calls on governments, technology companies, community organisations, and individuals to take action to challenge harmful behaviour, support survivors, and unite to end online violence.
With the rise of artificial intelligence, deep fake abuse, and the prominence of misogynistic content across social media and online platforms, this year's theme is more relevant than ever.

Respect Victoria chief executive officer Helen Bolton said online violence against women and girls was growing at an alarming rate.
