Free disposal of unwanted chemicals in Cardinia Shire

Cardinia Shire residents will be able to dispose of unwanted chemicals and their containers at no charge.
The Detox Your Home and Drum Muster programs will be available on Saturday, April 22.
Detox Your Home provides a safe and easy way to dispose of unwanted common toxic household chemicals.
The chemicals are collected, safely sorted and transported to a specialist waste treatment facility and, where possible, recycled or used for other purposes.
The Drum Muster collection gives commercial and residential community members the opportunity to dispose of eligible cleaned agvet chemical containers that will later be recycled.
Items can be taken to the council depot at 18 Purton Rd, Pakenham, between 9am and 2pm on April 22 for Detox Your Home and from 9am until noon for the Drum Muster collection.
Registrations with council through its Eventbrite website are required for the Detox Your Home disposals but no registration is required for Drum Muster.
