Flamenco comes to town

Acclaimed Spanish guitarist Paco Lara is returning to Australia for a highly anticipated series of performances, fresh from a prestigious tour of his home country.

Having recently performed at Spain's famous Paco de Lucía Festival and the internationally renowned Festival de Jerez, Lara brings his world-class Andalusian artistry back to local stages.

Audiences in Melbourne can experience Lara alongside mesmerizing flamenco dancer Deya Miranda at the iconic Birds Basement on Saturday night. The duo will then head to Warragul for an intimate Father's Day matinee on Sunday. This marks a special return for Lara, whose warmly received 2023 performance left local audiences eager for his return.
Born in Jerez de la Frontera, widely celebrated as the cradle of flamenco, Lara boasts an international career spanning more than three decades. He has shared the stage with legendary figures such as Paco Cepero and has built a reputation as one of Australia's premier ambassadors of flamenco after headlining at the Sydney Opera House, the Sydney Guitar Festival, and the Adelaide Guitar Festival.
Joining him is dancer Deya Miranda, whose precise and intense choreography beautifully complements Lara's guitar.
