Multiple emergency services were called to Giles St Trafalgar after receiving reports of a chemical incident around 8am on Friday, July 1.

Multiple emergency services were called to Giles St Trafalgar after receiving reports of a chemical incident around 8am on Friday, July 1.
A Country Fire Authority (CFA) spokesperson said that on arrival at the scene they found two 25-litre drums of different chemicals had mixed and the solution was emitting a gas.
The premises was evacuated and breathing apparatus crews were deployed to dilute and contain the solution.
Police said an individual had noticed chemicals leaking from a container and moved the chemicals into another container, which caused chemicals to mix and form chlorine gas.
Four people were attended to at the scene by Ambulance Victoria. Police said one of the four individuals was transported to a hospital as a precaution.
The incident was contained by 10.16am.
Four CFA vehicles attended the scene including a HAZMAT vehicle from Warragul Fire Brigade. They were supported by Fire Rescue Victoria (FRV). Victoria Police and Worksafe also attended.
