Police are investigating if a supermarket burglary at Neerim South is related to a crime wave involving stolen vehicles.
Two offenders in two utes were captured on CCTV footage at about 4.45am on Monday, April 3.
Police allege the two vehicles involved were a white utility with an aluminium tray and a white utility, possibly a Datsun, with a white tray. Both reversed up a laneway on the south side of the IGA supermarket.
An offender, believed to be a white Caucasian male wearing a black hoodie with "SpeedPro" logo on the back and sleeves, ski gloves and facial cover, kicked a hole in the back door.
Police allege bottles of spirits, valued at $300, were stolen. However, the bottles were dropped and smashed, with the offender leaving empty handed.
It is believed the vehicle drove away in an easterly direction.
