A draft open space strategy for Cardinia Shire in now available for public comment.
The strategy, developed with input from the community, considers existing open spaces on publicly owned land, and used for recreational, leisure and environmental benefits and includes nature reserves, parks, playgrounds and spot and recreation reserves.
Mayor Tammy Radford encouraged all residents to review the draft to ensure the priorities reflect the community’s aspirations.
Feedback can be provided on line on council’s website, by email to the shire and by post.
A comment information session is scheduled for Friday between 2.30pm and 4pm at Koolangarra Park, Bunyip. Public comment closes on Sunday, April 2.
