Car wash stop results in arrest
A 27-year-old Doveton man was arrested after police saw a stolen car at Drouin car wash on Saturday morning.
Police said a blue Subaru, reported stolen, was seen at about 6.15am at the Princes Way car wash.
A man allegedly ran from police before being arrested a short time later.
Police allege they found methamphetamine and stolen credit cards in his possession and GHB in the vehicle. There were false plates affixed to the vehicle.
A 27-year-old Doveton man was charged with theft of motor vehicle, possess drug of dependence and handle stolen goods.
He was bailed to appear at Latrobe Valley Magistrates' Court on March 2, 2026.
