Baw Baw Shire mayor Annemarie McCabe has joined the board of One Gippsland.
Cr McCabe replaces former mayor Michael Leaney and joins chief executive officer Mark Dupe as representatives of the shire on the board of the regional advocacy body.
East Gippsland Shire mayor Mark Reeves was appointed chair for the current year, succeeding Latrobe City mayor Kellie O'Callaghan.
South Gippsland mayor Nathan Hersey is deputy chair.
Cr McCabe, chair of Destination Gippsland Jan Fitzgerald and chair of TAFE Gippsland Paul Buckley are new members of the board this year that represents Gippsland's six municipal councils and industry and educational bodies.
Cr Reeves said he would use his term as chair to focus on advocating for strategic investment in connectivity, education, health and tourism to fuel post-COVID recovery and advance the region's economic strengths.
