Acting ceo announced
Acting ceo
Former Bayside City Council chief executive officer Mick Cummins will step in to lead Baw Baw Shire in an acting capacity.
Mr Cummins, who joined the shire's corporate strategy team in June, will take on the acting role whilst new ceo Tilla Buden takes leave for medical reasons.
Ms Buden's position began last week. However, she announced she would be taking leave immediately due to a recent breast cancer diagnosis.
Baw Baw Shire mayor Kate Wilson announced Mr Cummins would step into the acting ceo role until mid-December.
"The councillor group will work through longer-term logistics and organisational impacts over the coming months, and we will keep all staff and the wider community informed of any developments," Cr Wilson said.
Mr Cummins is currently Baw Baw Shire's strategy and transformation manager. Most recently, he served as Bayside City Council ceo for seven years.
Ms Buden, via her LinkedIn, said she would be taking leave for treatment and recovery but remained excited about joining the Baw Baw Shire team "when the time is right".
