No score in United draw

Gippsland United teams were in action across senior and youth competitions over the weekend, delivering a mix of tight contests, disciplined defensive efforts and several well earned results across the club.
Senior men's
In their first Sunday away fixture of the season, the senior men travelled to face North Caulfield.
The match unfolded as a scrappy, stop-start contest, with both sides struggling to generate clear chances.
Neither team managed to break through, and the game finished in a 0-0 stalemate.
Reserves men
In the earlier fixture, the reserve men worked their way through a challenging match against a sharp North Caulfield outfit.
Despite periods of determined effort, Gippsland were unable to contain the opposition's finishing, resulting in a 4-0 defeat.
Both senior squads return to Baxter Park this Saturday for a home fixture against Dandenong South.
Boys Youth State League
Attention then shifted to Morwell, where the Boys Youth State League teams hosted Monash City Villarreal.
Under 18s
The under 18s were forced onto the back foot early, with Villarreal finding the net three times in the opening 20 minutes.
Gippsland tightened defensively from that point on and prevented further damage, but were unable to pull a goal back and finished on the wrong side of a 3-0 scoreline.
Under 16s
In the under 16s clash, Clay McCann Diston struck first to give Gippsland the early advantage.
Villarreal responded almost immediately, sending the teams into half time level.
Early in the second half McCann Diston added his second, and United held firm to secure a deserved 2-1 win.
Under 15s
The under 15s produced a solid 2-0 victory.
Max Wookey found the opener in the first half, and after the break Beliu Belieu added Gippsland's second.
United capitalised well on their chances and finished with a strong result.
Under 14s
A top-of-the-table meeting saw the under 14s grind through a tight, physical contest that finished 0-0.
The result adds another important point to Gippsland's tally and keeps them securely placed in second on the ladder.
Under 13s
The under 13s fixture was evenly matched from the outset.
Cruz Pavich put Gippsland ahead in the first half, before Villarreal equalised shortly after the break.
With momentum shifting, Pavich stepped up again to score his second and restore United's lead. Gippsland defended with discipline in the closing minutes to claim the three points.
This weekend the Boys Youth State League teams will host Port Melbourne.
Pre Boys Youth State League
Earlier in the day, the under 12s faced Langwarrin.
Kai Tanti opened the scoring within minutes, and he struck again early in the second half to complete his brace.
Langwarrin fought back with two goals of their own, and the match finished level at 2-2.
Across all grades, Gippsland United delivered a weekend of determined performances, highlighted by strong youth results and disciplined defensive efforts. With several teams well placed on their respective ladders, the club heads into next week's fixtures with positive momentum.

Under 10 boys
Gippsland made their shortest trip of the season to play the Bunyip Strikers in an away game.
Right from the warm-up, the Gippsland boys looked up for it, and it showed from the first whistle.
In a game that displayed amazing teamwork, there were also plenty of moments of individual brilliance. This began with the linkup play between Alex Ballie and Sasha Wedrowicz that resulted in Gippsland going three goals ahead in the first 15 minutes. Wedrowicz had a hand in all three of these goals, scoring two and assisting Alex in the other.
Just minutes into the second half, Alex completed his hat-trick with the final goal coming off yet another perfectly delivered Deakin O'Dea corner, dropped at the back post and smashed home by Baillie.
Harvey Mac has been a brick wall at the centre of defence all season but found himself playing on the wing in the second half, a position he played just as brilliantly. This was capped off with a goal of his own.
Finally, Deakin made a solo run through the center of the pack and smashed home from outside the box to make it a resounding 7-0 win to Gippsland.
