Crows crush Eagles as finals await

Despite stitching up top spot on the Ellinbank District football ladder last week, Longwarry put in a dominant performance to easily account Ellinbank 24-11 (155) to 10-11 (71).
Having secured the double chance last week, the Crows put in a dominant performance to finish the home and away season with just the one loss.
Jedd Serong put through the first two goals before Ellinbank responded through Logan Joyce.
Serong put through his third and Braydon McHugh put through his first as the Crows put out a 20-point buffer.
Joel Armstrong cut the margin to 14-points before Serong and Riley Rundell increased the margin to 25-points at the first change.
The second term put the result beyond doubt with multiple goals to Kos, McHugh, amd another to McHugh extending the margin to 61-points at the long break.
Bailey Stephens opened the scoring in the third term, followed by consecutive goals to Serong to effectively put the result beyond doubt.
The Eagles got one back, only to be answered by Serong.
Logan Joyce and Michael Urie made it consecutive goals by the Eagles, only to be answered by Serong at the other end.
Joel Armstrong put through the first of the final term, only for the Crows to answer through Serong and Fintan Fox.
Tyler Christian put through a late goal for the Eagles, only for Serong to put through three majors to finish with a huge haul of 14 goals for the afternoon.
Stephens, Rundell, Cooper Brown, Tyler van der Heyden and McHugh also were prominent.
The Eagles were best served by Armstrong, Sam Curtain, Ryan Atherton, Thomas Bingham, Riley Butters and Ben Dixon.
