An additional two memorial panels honouring former defence service people that have died have been installed in the grounds of the Gippsland chapter of the Vietnam Veterans and Veterans Motorcycle Club at Longwarry North.
They join six other panels that recognise those killed in conflicts since 1965 and others from the area that served.
The latest additions will contain the names of ex-service people that have died since their time in the Australian Defence Force since 1965 even if their deaths were not related to service.
Club secretary Russell (T Rat) Oakes said the club was keen to hear from any family members of deceased service people from the district whose names can be included on the memorial boards.
The Gippsland chapter of the club was formed 20 years ago and two years later established its headquarters at the former Longwarry North public hall that had fallen into disuse.
It has undertaken major renovations to establish the clubrooms and developed the surrounding grounds to honour service veterans.
Initially called the Vietnam Veterans Motorcycle Club in recent years the organisations title has had the words "and veterans" added to include those that have served in subsequent conflicts in which Australia has been involved.
Mr Oakes said the facility was open for all members of the public.
Family members of deceased service people who want to be included on the memorial can contact Mr Oakes on 0410 575 963.
