2026 has been a year of development for Warragul's netball program, with the club looked to its youth to drive forward.

Led by VNL star Sienna Green in A grade, the Gulls have taken to the court as one of the youngest sides the Gippsland League has seen.

A couple of weeks ago the A grade team had an average age of just 17.5 years across the nine players who took to the court.
It's a new direction for the Gulls, who had a number of senior players leave after last year's campaign.
With Green having already committed to the senior coaching role for next year as well, Warragul's determined up and comers will benefit greatly from her leadership.
While the results are yet to come, club officials are highly confident the pieces are in place to set the Gulls up for a strong future in the long term.
That's not to say the Gulls are lacking in veterans - club favourite Cara Gavin recently celebrated her 250th game for the Gulls, with the netballers all getting around her and wearing specially made shirts for the day.
Also featuring among the coaches are returning leaders Olivia Barr (13 and under) and Robyn Mitchard (17 and under) as well as Melissa Burton (15 and under) and Kelly Sheehan (C and B grade).
This year the club has welcomed a host of siblings and family members from the Gulls' junior club and football programs as they seek to create a real family atmosphere.
Six of the Gulls' junior crop also recently had the chance to represent the club at the 2026 Association Championships at Monash Reserve. Ella Carpenter, Tilly Hodge and Sapphire Pratt were selected to represent the Gippsland League as Billie Gray, Bella Senini and Isla O'Brien all earned selection for the Warragul and District Netball Association (WDNA).
The Gulls will also be excited to celebrate 20-year premiership reunions for both their 2006 A grade and 15 and under netball sides on Saturday 1 August.
Held in conjunction with the club's Past Players Day, it will be a great day to reconnect and share their memories of a great day.
