Local manufacturers are urged to apply within the next few weeks for two streams of government funding to boost their businesses.
The Nationals Member for astern Victoria Melina Bath said grants available under the Made in Victoria program could be used to expand operations, increase productivity, generate local jobs and transition to net zero.
The Manufacturing Growth component of the scheme, for which applications close on December 19, provides up to $250,000 for small and medium sized manufacturers to introduce new technologies, improve productivity and competitiveness locally and globally, upskill workers and create new jobs.
The Energy Technologies Manufacturing fund of the program offers between $100,000 and $750,000.
Ms Bath said those grants were to increase capacity to manufacture components for zero emissions and renewable energy supply chains.
The applications close on December 13.
Further information about the grants can be found on Business Victoria's website https://business.vic.gov.au/grants-and-programs
Ms Bath said applicants can contact her at (03) 5174 7066 or by email at melina.bath@parliament.vic.gov.au to discuss details of projects and provide letters of support.
