Here we go again: WRC's Mamma Mia!

Final rehearsals are underway this week ahead of Warragul Regional College's presentation of the hit stage musical Mamma Mia!
The unforgettable music of ABBA is brought to life in this feel-good production that combines comedy and romance in a Greek island setting.
The story follows Sophie, a young bride-to-be, who secretly invites three men from her mother Donna's past to her wedding in the hope of discovering who her real father is.
As the wedding approaches, friendships are tested, old memories return, and chaos unfolds in the best possible way.
Students have been working hard perfecting their acting, singing, dancing, costumes, and production to bring the exciting and colourful performance to life as well as iconic ABBA songs including Dancing Queen, Super Trouper, Mamma Mia, and Waterloo.
Under the direction of Mel Crookston, students, staff, backstage crew, and production team have been working tirelessly for months, dedicating countless hours to rehearsals, set construction, costumes, choreography, lighting, sound, and more.
Main characters bringing the story and music to life include Willow Nicholls (Donna Sheridan) and Pippa Grimshaw (Sophie Sheridan) joined by Jayla Matlock (Tanya), Cheyenne Armstrong (Rosie), Eidhin McCaffery (Sam Carmichael), Cohen Nicholls (Harry Bright), Jayda Armstrong (Bill Austin), Caytlin Norbury (Sky), Peyton McPhan–Kilgower (Lisa), Bethany Christensen (Ali), Curtis Oliver (Pepper) and Lilly Biscoe (Eddie).
A feel-good musical that has captured hearts around the world, Mamma Mia! is a celebration of family, friendship and love that audiences of all ages will enjoy.
Mamma Mia! will be staged at the West Gippsland Arts Centre for three performances on August 14 at 7.30pm and August 15 at 2pm and 7.30pm. Ticket prices are: WGAC members $27, full $30, concession $20, youth (under 18) $20 or family of four $80.
