Mason St arrest

Two Morwell men were arrested in Mason St, Warragul on Friday afternoon in relation to an alleged kidnapping in Morwell on August 1.
A 27-year-old Morwell man and a 26-year-old Morwell man were charged with kidnap, extortion, false imprisonment and other charges.
Both men were arrested by Latrobe Crime Investigation Unit detectives in Mason St.
Detectives allege a man was kidnapped near the intersection of Sydney St and Princes Drv about 12.40pm. The victim, a 24-year-old Morwell man, self-presented at hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The two Morwell men were remanded in custody to appear at Latrobe Valley Magistrates' Court yesterday. The investigation is ongoing.
