Driver escapes burning car

The driver of a white Volvo SUV was victim to a spontaneous car fire last Tuesday.
The driver was travelling through Drouin West when he noticed his vehicle began emitting an usual amount of smoke from under the bonnet.
He pulled over opposite the Robin Hood exit of the Princes Fwy, before his diesel engine began to show obvious flames, which grew as he escaped the burning vehicle.
Police attended the scene, with CFA personnel not far behind. The fire was caused by a mechanical issue within the engine.
