Past and present unite for school's 150th

After months of planning, past and present students, staff and families united to mark the 150th anniversary of Lardner Primary School on Saturday.
The day was a reunion of old school friends and families, with hundreds of locals and former residents travelling to mark the significant milestone in local education.
The celebrations included school tours led by current students before moving onto the Lardner Hall which was transformed into a museum of school records and memorabilia.
Oldest living former students Heather Rule, June Harvey (nee Goodwill) and Geoff McCraw, who are all aged in their 90s, had the honour of cutting the anniversary celebration cake.
A time capsule also was buried to capture the current school and its history for future generations to one day open. The capsule was laid by past students Evan Manintveld, Frank Manintveld and Rob Tylee.
