Combine caught out against South Gippy

Iona/Koo wee rup's over 60s team went down to South Gippsland at home on Sunday in the second round of the Masters Cricket Victoria competition.
South Gippsland won the toss and batted, and in the ninth over Peter Miller 23 (29) was caught by Andrew Patterson off the bowling of Greg Watsford.
South Gippsland were 2/43 next over when Mick Scully caught James Cobin for a duck off Andrew Patterson's bowling. Twenty runs later Patterson was in the action again when he trapped Peter Petrou 29 (30) lbw.
Gary Adams, 27 (30) retired before Michael Whiteside 20 (23) was caught by Graham Davey off Mark Ahern's bowling.
After 20 overs South Gippsland were 4/100 and a total of over 200 was a distinct possibility.
Neil White 3 (6) retired hurt, pulling a hamstring after trying to run for a quick single. Jim Gregory bowled the dangerous Pieter Loos first ball.
Tight bowling restricted the visitors to 21 runs in 10 overs before South Gippsland lost their sixth wicket when Graham Wightman 8 (27) was stumped by Russell Ferguson off Grahan Davey's bowling.
Brian Snashall-Woodhams 12 (30) and Richard Murphy 8 (30) both retired before the 40th over when Philip Richards 14 (22) and Gary Adams 33 (39) were both not out.
Iona/KWR bowlers and fieldsmen did a great job in restricting South Gippsland to only 52 runs off their final 20 overs; their score was 6/152 after 40 overs.
Iona/KWR bowling: Greg Watsford 6-1/33, Andrew Patterson 7-2/34, Jim Gregory 5-1/22, Mark Ahern 4-1/20, Graham Davey 8-1/15, Mick Scully 7-0/18, Ross Farmer 2-0/8.
Needing just under four runs an over the Combine lost two wickets in the sixth over with the score only on 14, Brian Snashall-Woodhams took both wickets - Greg Watsford 1 (14) bowled and Andrew Patterson lbw second ball, without scoring. Only eight runs were scored in the next four overs before Mark Ahern 4 (12) was caught off the bowling of Pieter Loos.
Ron Wernke 12 (30) retired before Bob Rogers 4 (21) was bowled by Graham Wightman. Graham Davey lasted five balls without scoring before he was bowled by Graham Wightman.
With the score on 53 in the 20th over Mick Scully 18 (23) became Graham Wightman's third victim when he was bowled.
At this stage the Combine needed 100 runs off the last 20 overs, but runs did not come as easy as the wickets fell.
Russell Ferguson 2 (13) was run out; Jim Gregory 4 (25) was caught by Gary Adams off Michael Whiteside's bowling.
Playing his first game in Victoria, Mark Galea was caught by (sub) Graham Davey off Peter Petrou's bowling without scoring. The boom recruit from South Gippsland (who was filling in for Iona/KWR) only scored one run off seven balls before he was Graham Wightman's fourth victim, caught and bowled.
The Combine was all out in the 28th over for 72 runs.
South Gippsland Bowling: Graham Wightman 4.4-4/11, Brian Snashall-Woodhams 2-2/7, Michael Whiteside 5-1/7, Pieter Loos 4-1/12, Peter Petrou 4-1/13. James Cobin 4-0/7, Gary Adams 2-0/1, Richard Murphy 3-0/10.
