Ellinbank Primary School students competed in a variety of novelty track and field events for the school's athletics sports.
Events included skipping rope challenge, bean bag toss and long jump. The track events were highly contested with all students participating and putting in a great deal of effort. A highlight of the annual athletics day is the family relays where children and adults compete against each other in fun relay races.
This year the egg and spoon and 'horse' race created a lot of laughter and encouragement amongst families.
The family athletics carnival finished with a barbecue in the new adventure playground. Every family attended the event which is testimony to the community feel at the school.
