Drouin takes first tennis title

Drouin Black has produced a superb team performance to secure a 4–2 victory over Nottinghill Pinewood Tennis Club of Glen Waverley to claim Tennis Victoria's Men's Grade 17 Winter Pennant title.

The Drouin team was comprised of David Harman, James Harman, Zac Langstaff, Tom Wood, Jamie Dunn and Rowan White.

With six matches played on the day, Drouin knew they would need contributions across the team to come away with the win. The players responded, fighting hard through the doubles and singles encounters, with long rallies, pressure points and plenty of determination from both sides.
As the afternoon progressed into the evening, the Drouin players lifted when it mattered most. Strong teamwork and encouragement between matches helped maintain the momentum.
It was a genuine total team effort, with all playing their part in the team's success.
The result is a reward for the commitment shown by the Drouin Black players throughout the Winter Pennant season.
For Drouin Black, it was more than just a win on the scoreboard. It was the first Winter Pennant title for the Drouin Tennis Club and the players involved.
