The Committee for Drouin's recent town cleaning campaign has been labelled a success by organisers.
A number of community groups got involved in the Drouin-wide litter clean up, coined "Spring clean Drouin" - which encouraged local individuals and groups to do as little or as much as they could to get litter off the streets.
From September 1 to 5 many locals took to the street armed with bags and gloves to collect litter and take pride in their town.
The Committee of Drouin acknowledged several community groups who did their bit including the Drouin Rotarians, Drouin Secondary College, the Drouin Stationeers, and the Ferntree Ridge Gang.
Several Baw Baw Shire Council Shire officers also got involved in the initiative.
Committee for Drouin secretary Claire McArthur said the response to the campaign was "really pleasing". Ms McArthur said many people got involved in the social media campaign and posted pictures of their efforts along with the hashtag springcleandrouin2022 to help raise awareness.
