Christmas is the time of giving and students at Drouin Primary School recently held a food drive to support Baw Baw Food Relief's 'Feed the Need' campaign.
Wanting to support the local community this Christmas, the school's junior school council students organised the appeal.
Each class decorated a hamper box and made a Christmas card for the future recipients. Students then brought pantry staples or Christmas goodies from home to make a local family's day a little brighter this Christmas season. Students also celebrated the day by wearing Christmas colours.
Anne and Steve from Baw Baw Food Relief collected the hampers in the BBFR food van. They had to make two trips to fit everything in!
In the end, there was a total of 900kg of food donated by Drouin Primary School families which was a fantastic effort!
