Businesses can now have the Warragul CFA brigade arrange checks to ensure their fire safety equipment is up to date and working.
The brigade's fire equipment maintenance officer Belinda Hogan said the brigade could arrange visits to businesses to review hose reels, fire blankets in their premises and vehicles.
She said a contractor would make the assessments and provide a quotation to business owners.
Much of the fire fighting equipment needs to comply with regulations and meet regular time frames for checks.
After inspection and completion of any work required the equipment is tagged to indicate its compliance.
Ms Hogan said the checks normally needed to be done twice a year and some equipment was required to be replaced after specified periods.
She said the service was also an important fund-raiser and a way for businesses to show their support of the volunteer fire brigade.
