Two multi-vehicle collisions

Two multi-vehicle collisions occurred near Darnum and near Longwarry last week.
On Wednesday a truck was travelling along the Princes Fwy near Darnum at 3.35pm when it lost traction and veered into the right lane where it tipped on its side.
Both the driver of the truck and a passenger were able to exit the truck uninjured.
Police said a car stopped in the right lane to assist after the collision and was rear-ended by a second car. A third car then crashed into a roadside barrier to avoid the first two cars.
There were no injuries to anyone involved.
The second collision occurred late Sunday afternoon. At 5.20pm a Kenworth truck was travelling west along Princes Fwy near Longwarry when a Mitsubishi Lancer travelling in front reached an 80km zone and allegedly braked suddenly.
Police said the truck, unable to slow down in time, veered into the left lane where a Honda Accord was pushed off the side of the road and into some railing. The smaller vehicle then spun around and sustained some damage.
One driver sustained an ankle injury.
