Tough day for Gulls against polished Moe

Moe was too strong in all grades of netball, making for a tough day on court for the home team Warragul.

Warragul were outclassed by a polished Moe outfit, with the top-of-the-table side showing exactly why they will be difficult to beat when their best team is on the court.

Despite the result, there were plenty of positives for the Gulls, including the return of Tyla Peters after missing most of the season through injury.

Coach Sienna Green led by example in centre, providing tireless leadership through both her attitude and the way she played.

Amelia Henry continued to impress in the goal circle, while Ruby Fullgrabe was a standout in defence, combining strong pressure with composed ball use to create opportunities for the Gulls.

Moe's tall and accurate goalers proved extremely difficult to contain and unfortunately the Gulls couldn't maintain the intensity they began with across the four quarters.
Ellie Beechey Danvers worked tirelessly in wing attack, putting her body on the line and working hard to win possession for the Gulls. Her positioning and persistence provided valuable opportunities for goalers Sophie Fennell and Jemma Caithness, who both played beautifully in the goal circle and made the most of the opportunities created for them.
