A state election will be held in November and the Victorian Electoral Commission has plenty of vacancies for people to work in casual roles leading up to and on election day.
VEC deputy electoral commissioner Dana Fleming said while all applications for the positions were welcome there was a commitment to have a workforce that reflected the diversity of the community.
The commissioner would particular welcome applications from people aged between 18 and 30 years of age, those that speaking multiple languages including English, aboriginal and Torres Strait islanders, those with a disability and people that don't have secure housing.
Prior election experience is not necessary with full training provided.
Competitive pay rates apply.
The casual positions that are available across the state will be at polling booths on election day and at early voting centres.
Applicants need to be Australian citizens aged 18 years or older, be a permanent resident or hold a current work visa and can work for VEC for one day or up to four weeks.
