Gardeners at the Community Garden in Eastern Park are ready for spring - and new participants.
They have already begun planting seedlings for vegetables and herbs and completed the winter pruning.
Community garden group members work together to maintain the garden throughout the year, but also enjoy morning teas and social catch-ups regularly.
The gardeners meet each Tuesday in the garden from about 10am to 2pm and are looking for new group members.
No gardening experience is necessary but a sense of humour is welcomed.
The group held a special spring social day on Saturday to encourage new members to go along to the community garden.
Projects for spring include building new compost bins and burying exposed pipes, as well as the usual weeding and a social catch-up.
