People interested in starting a new business or considering introducing new products and services to market will be able to get some valuable assistance at a day-long session at Morwell this Saturday, November 5.
Startup Gippsland, a project by the region's six municipal councils and delivered by Gipps, will stage the "bootcamp" for budding local business people at the Morwell Innovation Centre.
Tickets can be booked at the Startup Gippsland website.
Founder and program director Dr Elena Kelareva said programs like Startup Gippsland help entrepreneurs create new and successful businesses that support their own careers and create jobs.
She said that with the region's traditional industries such as coal and timber rapidly changing there was a need for new businesses to create jobs for the future and develop resilient local economies.
Expert support is crucial to the success of new businesses and the program includes inputs from experienced business advisers and mentors on developing successful business plans, correct marketing and legal requirements for running a company.
