COVID-19 restrictions in regional Victoria will ease at 11.59pm on Thursday.
The five reasons for leaving home no longer remain in regional Victoria.
Outdoor gatherings up to 10 people are allowed.
Food and hospitality can return to seated dining for up to 50 people as per with density limits. Operators must check the IDs of everyone served.
All retail can open. It is mandatory to check into setting such as supermarkets and shops across Victoria.
Beauty can resume where masks can be worn, again IDs must be checked.
All students return for regional schools,. Only VCE students in metro schools.
Fifty people can attend faith gatherings and funerals and 10 people for weddings.
Junior outdoor sport can resume and senior sport can train outdoors.
The Melbourne metropolitan area remains locked down for a further seven days.
Acting Premier James Merlino said they understand that it was an added undertaking to check IDs, but “it is ultimately about keeping your community safe.”
“I know that this is not the news everybody in Melbourne wants to hear today,” he said.
