The final of the Winter Indoor Pickleball competition was played on Sunday night at the Warragul Badminton Stadium.
Second-placed team, Spin Masters, were able to overcome Pickle Legends, even though they had two replacements in the team for the night.
Ashley Koopmans filled in for number one player Thomas Hammond, who had other commitments. Thomas was the strongest number one player for the competition, but Ash proved she was no pushover on the night.
Spin Masters' Warren Cousins was also unavailable to play, and his replacement was Cathy Tailby, who had a great night winning five of her six games. The other two members were Giselle Michau-Hyde and Dale Hendricks.
The Pickle Legends team of Brendon Shelley, Rob Greenall, Catherine Thorpe and Judy Rankin played as best they could, given that Catherine acquired an injury in her first game.
Having to forfeit one game, Catherine played on. The injury did however slow her down, but she did play out the rest of her games, to her credit.
Results.

The match of the night ended up being the bronze match between Pickles Please and Paddle Pals.
Team members for Pickles Please were Gavin Hammond, Mike Timpano, Rachel Hammond and Jenny Harrington. Paddle Pals team members were Clare Duggan, Jenny Kilner, Paul O'Neil, and Dale D'Rozario.
After a very slow start to the competition Paddle Pals were able to just sneak into the finals in the last round played.
To their credit they kept the ball rolling by defeating Pickles Please 6/93 to 6/87.
Up five games to three going into the last four games which could have gone either way, Clare and Dale were able to take their first game off Gavin and Jenny, thus giving them six games.
At this stage the outcome could be six games all and it would depend on the aces. To their credit Pickles Please won the next three games but were behind on aces at the end of the night, giving the win to Paddle Pals.
