A police negotiator was called in during a three-hour siege in Neerim South on Saturday.
Police said the siege began in Townsend St at 10.15pm.
Following an earlier incident, police travelled to a residential property. However, a man in his 30s allegedly refused requests to surrender and threatened officers. Two dogs also were at the property.
He exited about an hour after the police negotiator arrived.
In an unrelated incident in Neerim South, a 41-year-old Warragul man had his vehicle impounded on Saturday afternoon.
Police said they intercepted the vehicle due to it displaying incorrect plates.
They allege the man was unlicensed and failed a drug test. He was summonsed to appear at Latrobe Valley Magistrates' Court.
