Camera Club shows off its best

A celebration of seven decades behind the lens is bringing together the best of Warragul Camera Clubs' work - and a more personal look at how its members see the world.

The club's 70th anniversary exhibition at the West Gippsland Arts Centre features a selection of high-quality colour prints chosen from members' work over the years. Alongside it, a second display, "Work Essays," presents 12 A2-sized photographic projects on easels.

The projects were developed by 15 club members, with 12 giving permission for their work and names to be displayed. The easel exhibition sits away from the main gallery, possibly near the ticket office, offering visitors a different perspective on the club's creative work.

The displays reflect both the scale of the anniversary celebration and the individual approaches of the photographers involved.

The exhibition is scheduled to remain on display until Friday, November 27. Visitors can view it during the centre's business hours, as well as when attending live theatre and music events.
