An elusive golden adult tricycle has been recovered by police, after a sharp-eyed detective recognised it from an article in The Gazette.
After being stolen for the second time this year from a locked shed located at a George St property, Baw Baw CIU detectives were pleased to seize, transport and deliver the missing tricycle to its rightful owners.
"I had seen it the same day I opened the Gazette to read about," said Baw Baw CIU detective Chris Skurrie, the officer instrumental in locating the stolen property.
"We walked past it at a warrant."
The tricycle was reported to be valued at $700, and was stolen from the same location during both thefts.
Police are continuing investigations.
