Police are investigating a series of small grass fires at Buln Buln.
Emergency services were called to a fire about 300 metres south of Longmuir Rd on Sunday at about 5.15pm.
The CFA attended and extinguished the fire which was about one metre in length. It was not on private property and no structural damage was reported.
Investigating it as an arson incident, police believe a flammable cylinder from a nail gun was used to start the fire.
Several other small patches of burnt grass, appearing to be a few days old, were found nearby.
